Victor Giovanetti
Victor Giovanetti serves as President of HCA Virginia -- Southwest region. This region includes LewisGale Medical Center, Alleghany Regional Hospital, Montgomery Regional Hospital and Pulaski Community Hospital.
Mr. Giovanetti has an extensive background with HCA, including his most recent position as CEO of Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, serving in this position from March 2003 to December 2007. Prior to that, he served as the medical center’s chief operating officer, as well as ethics and compliance officer, from March 2001 to May 2003. Other positions with HCA have included operations manager with the company’s MidAmerica Division; executive director of Columbia Care Medical Centers; director of the Columbia Cardiology Network at Nashville-based Centennial Medical Center, and director of emergency services at Redmond Regional Medical Center. Additionally, he served as vice president of management services with Symbion, Inc. Mr. Giovanetti started his healthcare career as a firefighter and paramedic and also served as a senior flight paramedic.
Mr. Giovanetti earned a master’s of business administration from the University of Dallas in Irving and a Bachelor of Science Degree (Cum Laude) in Business Management from Berry College in Rome, Georgia.
Mr. Giovanetti is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. During his leadership tenure in the Tennessee market, he held numerous professional affiliations including founder and president of the Middle Tennessee Chapter of The American College of Healthcare Executives; member of the Tennessee Hospital Association; instructor and guest lecturer at Lipscomb University School of Health Services and Business Administration; preceptorships for the U.S. Army-Baylor University Graduate Program, Eastern Kentucky University, and Texas A & M University; and chairman of TriStar Center for Research and Education Advisory Board. Mr. Giovanetti is also a member of the Tennessee Employers Support of The Guard and Reserve.
