This endorsement represents the final requirement needed by many insurance companies before a hospital is considered to be a certified provider.

Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center was awarded the Joint Commission accreditation and certification on June 15, 2010. This endorsement represents the final requirement needed by many insurance companies before a hospital is considered to be a certified provider. Although this distinction allows for interface with many insurance companies, the negotiations with Anthem continue, and a timely resolution is expected.

It’s been a fascinating multi-year planning and building period for the Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center (SRMC), but that chapter will close and a new one will begin when the facility officially opens to the public on Monday, June 7, 2010.
